Adriana: It’s an honour for me to be back in Brazil and being, you know, working here you know? It’s not – doesn’t mean that I won’t be working in the United States and I should forget Brazil, you know? This is where I come from.
The last things I did in America, it was Guess?, uh, Armani Perfume and Armani Jeans and I just signed a contract with Victoria’s Secret.
It’s so hot in here today. [Singing] It’s getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes. I am getting hot, I’m gonna take my clothes off. [Laughs] Wait a second [Pretends to strip]
I plan to be an actress after.
Look into my eyes. Look again. Look. [Pulls off fake eyelashes and laughs]
[In French] Salut, le Français. Ça va bien. Bijoux.
What kind of films I like? I like – I like any good… What do you mean films? Like, movies from, um, Hollywood? I like anything, um… Porn. [laughs] I’m joking! I’m joking. No, no, no. [laughs] Okay, I’m joking. No, no, no. Okay, I like ‘Scarface.’ I like ‘La Dolce Feinda.’ That’s amazing. I like ‘West Side Story’ also. [Singing] I feel pretty! I’m so pretty! Such a pretty face, such a pretty smile! I’m so pretty! [Laughs]
I got these beautiful eyes from my grandparents. I was born in Bahia. I have like, um… kind of… a mix of African, Indian and Swiss. Everything. That’s the thing, the beautiful thing, about Brazil. It’s like a huge mix. If you see my family, you look at them like oh my god. And you, who? Why?! Why your eyes? Why your skin?! It’s everything. All the mix.
Since I was young I was telling my mom, ‘listen, I gotta go to work because I want to buy everything that I want.’ You know? I don’t like to ask anything to anyone. That’s why I started so young. Because I like to get, whatever I want, I like to get myself. I don’t ask, I go and I get it.
When I started I was thirteen years old. When I was fifteen I went to live in New York. I went with the owner of the agency, which was a good friend of my mom, so she trusted, and she couldn’t leave town. But, uh, yes, it was hard, of course. It was the first time in my life that I was, you know, flying out of Brazil. And, um, I didn’t speak any English at all. And the hardest part was my friends… The beach! Which I was born, one block from the beach. You know? And, uh, the food and my family. You know? That was the hard part. But you know, I was very happy. I was proud of myself, you know, for being strong and being, like – Of course I was scared, but, uh, I was strong enough to pass through all the difficulties.
It’s not every girl who has the opportunity to be a model, to be outside in the states, working. You know? So ,uh, that’s why I say I’m blessed, you know? And I try to not forget where I’m coming from and, um, I don’t want to abuse everything I have, you know? I think that I am happy for everything God is to give.
Sorry baby, I have to go now. It’s my last show. I love you guys, I love Fashion TV. Kiss!
